AKQ 2024 –
The band was formed in 2024 at the initiative of Aleksandra Kryńska.
The key to the quintet lies in the intuitive relationship among the musicians. The varied musical sensitivity of all five artists determines the quintet’s unique sound. In her compositions, Aleksandra Kryńska draws inspiration from 20th-century classical music and jazz, combining electronic elements, contrast, expression and improvisation.
With that band Kryńska recorded her debut album, „something holy?”. delves into the concept of chaos as a catalyst to create music. While the album is not rooted in religious themes, it endeavors to articulate experiences and emotions, presenting music as a reflective surface that one aspires to resonate with or even surpass it. „something holy?” represents a quest for acceptance of reality.

Aleksandra Kryńska – composition, violin
Michał Aftyka – double bass
Bartosz Szablowski – drums
Ola Kryńska Trio 2024 –
The trio was formed during the recording sessions of the Aleksandra Kryńska Quintet. The musicians were brought together by their shared familiarity with Robert Musil’s novel The Man Without Qualities. Although the title might suggest a somewhat melancholic and introspective source of inspiration for the group’s beginnings, that’s not quite the case.
Each member of the Trio has their own distinctive qualities, and together they create a cohesive and unique artistic expression. The music of OK Trio blends a free approach to form, improvisation, free jazz, and electronic elements.
